While working in the biotechnology industry, I volunteered as a tutor for high school students in math (Algebra, Calculus) and science (Chemistry, Physics, Biology) at Juma Ventures, a non-profit in San Francisco. It was through this experience that I discovered that I really enjoyed tutoring; I enjoy helping students to learn and to gain confidence in their ability to grasp and do well in subjects that were previously challenging to them. I also very much enjoy encouraging and motivating students to apply themselves in their studies. I'm patient and a good listener, which helps me to figure out how to teach so that the student will learn! I'm also very happy to share studying and organization tips.
